About Madalyn
I remember the first time I was sucked into someone else’s world. My mom was reading a Nancy Drew book to my older sister, and, being bored with my usual shenanigans, I decided to sit down and listen as well. I was a typical 6-year-old kid with a ton of energy, the kind who couldn’t sit still for more than a few minutes. But as my mom read, pouring passion and intrigue into the characters and bringing the scenes to life, I was completely captivated. That became our favorite pastime, and soon, my eager little fingers were grabbing any book I could get my hands on. I wanted to know how many worlds were out there, how many adventures I could join.
After that, it wasn’t long before I was creating my own stories. I even set my alarm clock to wake up an hour before elementary school started so I could continue writing my little short stories. I knew then that I wanted to be an author. I wanted to create stories that made people so immersed in a character’s adventure that they’d lose track of time, of who they are, and feel their heart intertwine with the pages in an unbreakable connection.
And now, almost twenty years later, I’ve achieved my dream.
A little about me: I live in West Virginia with my amazing husband and two wonderful cats who try to dodge my cuddles. I graduated with a bachelor's in nursing, and while I love helping others in need, I always knew one day I wanted to return to my writing.
When I'm not immersed in my or another author's world, you can find me playing Dungeons and Dragons with my friends, board games with my family, and gardening with my husband.
